Music Ministry

Come, let us sing joyfully to the Lord; cry out to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with a song of praise, joyfully sing out our psalms. - Psalm 95: 1-2

If you are interested in any of the following, please contact Ruth Freesmeier, Dir. Of  Music, through the parish office 217-732-4019 or email her at rfreesmeier@logancountycatholic.org.

Adult Choir

Volunteers are needed for the Sunday 10:00 a.m. Mass, Easter, Christmas, Confirmation and other special services. Ability to read music is helpful but not necessary.  Practice is held at the church on Sunday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 9:40 a.m., beginning the weekend AFTER Labor Day through Trinity Sunday.

Cantors

Each Mass has a volunteer leader of song.  Ability to read music is a MUST.   Audition is required.

Instrumentalists

Occasionally instruments are used at weekend Masses and encouraged at all special liturgies.  Ability to read music is a MUST.  Volunteer musicians must supply their own instruments (except for conga drums, tambourines and finger cymbals).  Music will be provided.

Organist or Pianist

Please contact the parish Director of Music for more information.
