Hospitality: Usher and Greeter

"Whoever receives you, receives me, and whoever receives me receives the One who sent me."  --Matthew 10:40

The mission of the Usher and Greeter at our four Parishes is that of hospitality.  Our service makes parishioners and guests feel welcome and comfortable as we gather for our Eucharistic celebration.  Our ushers and greeters are able to see the presence of Christ in each person as he or she arrives.

The members of the Hospitality Ministry are equipped for their ministry with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.  These spiritual gifts are special abilities given by the Holy Spirit to make their ministry effective and build up the body of Christ.  When people come to church, they come with the hope that the Mass will uplift and inspire; it is a time of renewal and celebration.  Skillful ushers and greeters ensure that people experience love and kindness upon entering church. Ministers of Hospitality play a crucial role as visible signs of Christ’s unconditional love in the church.
